    Is it Lolita?

actually there is a movie called “Love Letters” which was made in 1945.
There’s another one called “Love Letters” with Jamie Lee Curtis which was made in 1984.
Atonement is a good one too.

Try “The Shop Around the Corner.” It’s a 1940 film starring Margaret Sullivan and James Stewart. It’s about two lonely people who become eachother’s pen pals, not knowing they’re actually rival bookshop owners. This was later remade in 1998 as “You Got Mail,” starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. You could use that one as well.
